Simon Ushers the Switch Industry into a New Epoch Simon M7, an all-scenario product series, has taken the switch market by storm

With rapid change in user perceptions, business insights, and industry developments, switches and sockets have evolved into systematic solutions instead of hardware devices. Meanwhile, with the continuous extension of the concept of systematic, scenario-based solutions in the field of home appliances, other sectors that are related with home appliances are also seeking breakthroughs and innovations to address users’ increasingly diversified needs and the ever-changing industrial environment.

The traditional on/off switches and five-hole sockets no longer meet the needs of users. A fundamental upgrade has become extremely urgent. A switch for simply turning on and off and a socket for plugging in and out are no longer what users need now, even though they are solid and durable. More and more practices and cases have proved that what users need is a systematic solution for all scenarios in a space.

Simon M7 series, the first of its kind in the industry, is an all-in-one switch solution that brings together general application scenarios, HVAC control, electronic connectivity, WiFi coverage, comfortable living, etc. It has refreshed people’s understanding and imagination of switches.

Scenario-based Design is Adapted to Evolving Living Needs

Generally speaking, a scene is composed of five elements: who, what, when, where, and how. For example, a user (who) goes back home (where) after work (when). He/she opens the door (how) and turns on the light in the living room as well as the central air conditioning and fresh air system (what) to begin the night at home. Scenario-based functional design integrates device with living. Switches and sockets are the key to the connection between the two.

Consistent Appearance Design Meets the Most Stringent Requirements for Visual Consistency

At present, consumers who want to buy switches or sockets often have to buy from different brands or different product series of the same brand, for there is always an item – floor lamp, or fast-charging socket, or wireless AP panel – missing in a product series. Differences in appearance design, texture, hardware, and aftersales service have made it hard for consumers to make a choice and to maintain a consistent, neat decoration style for their homes.

To resolve this customer pain point, Simon rolled out the M7 Series, which features a consistent appearance design and frees consumers from the trouble of matching the varying styles of different products. Besides, Simon M7 Series adopts the CMF concept to integrate material design with aesthetic perception, which adapt to different interior design styles and allow users to choose their favorite items and create a work of art on the wall of their homes.

Simon has also minimized the thinness of M7 Series, the panels of which are as thin as 5.1mm. The ultra-thin panels amplify the charm of the minimalistic design and make the products blend into the interior design. While the traditional switch and socket manufacturers are still working on product-based solutions, Simon has already developed systematic solutions that integrate switches and sockets into the space they are placed in to create integrated and diversified homelife scenes that combine practical function with aesthetics, space with experience.

Simon’s scenario-based product series is adapted to changes in user needs and becomes more and more popular on the market, which, in turn, has brought about tremendous change in people’s everyday life.

Whether for consistent appearance design and aesthetic look or practical function and convenience, Simon M7 represents an ideal lifestyle. In the future, Simon will continue to innovate in the forefront of the industry and explore the future trends in lifestyle while leading the continuous iteration of all-scenario smart life solutions and ushering the switch industry into a new epoch.
